  • Heather Blacksmith rescued my family and I when we needed it most!

“We had just moved across country with a newborn and a toddler for a new job. How thankful we are that the first real estate contact we had was Heather because she was so diligent. At the time, the market was so fast paced, inventory was so limited, and we did not have much cash to offer competitively. Heather worked with us and our crazy baby schedule, she sent us links swiftly, AND within 4 weeks she helped us land the best home we could’ve asked for. What is remarkable is that she did this while not expressing any sort of stress, unavailability, or condescension with us. It meant so much to us that she really listened well and was so honest about the places we saw and the neighborhoods we explored. Since we were new to the area, her insights were needed and have proven to be spot on! I would give Heather Blacksmith my highest recommendation and would urge anyone to consider her as your agent upon entering the wild world of today’s real estate market!”

  • “Heather was an excellent realtor to work with!"

“She was as excited as we were when we got our dream house!! Her expertise, hard work and attention to details made the process go smoothly. She kept us very informed and always made sure we were on track for the next steps in the process. Even when we got nervous about the selling price and thought we would back out, she encouraged us to not give up and keep walking through each step. Heather knew just what to do to make sure we would be the top bidder and the price was lower than we expected. We absolutely love our new house! Without her support, we’re not sure we would have won the bid for this amazing house. We are very grateful for Heather’s hard work to make our dreams come true! We highly recommend Heather!”

  • "Heather was awesome to work with..."

Heather was awesome to work with -communicative, reachable and really resourceful. We had a weird seller who wouldn’t entertain our offer for some reason, but Heather was persistent and helped us move things along. We are first-time homebuyers so it was really nice having someone so knowledgeable who could guide us through the process. Thank you, Heather!”

  • “Heather was absolutely delightful to work with."

“We bought a house with her and we also sold a house with her. We had specific criteria we wanted in a home and Heather kept looking for us. She knew our needs and desires and they were a priority for her. The advice she gave us was both thoughtful and professional. We didn’t want to do many updates before we sold our house. Heather convinced us we really needed to do them. Just as interest rates were rising, we sold our house in two days due to her wise advice. We are grateful to have had such a positive experience in both buying and selling a home. I would recommend Heather Blacksmith to anyone who needs a realtor, she’s the best!”

  • Our call to Heather was one of the best decisions we could have made!

“When we decided to sell our house and purchase a new one we asked a neighbor who recently used the services of Heather Blacksmith if they'd recommend her. With enthusiasm the neighbor elaborated on why she and her husband were so pleased to work with Heather and encouraged us to give her a call. Our call to Heather was one of the best decisions we could have made! Within hours Heather met with us. We are beyond pleased Heather represented us in the listing and sale of our house as well as the purchase of our new home. Heather is skilled at what she does and made the sale of our house and purchase of our new house so much easier than it could have been. The challenges and stress of moving were minimized because of Heather and her assistance. Her communication was amazing. She was available by text, email and telephone always responding very timely. She offered and provided assistance in ways we didn't expect but so very much appreciated! Heather knows the real estate market and was so helpful and patient as she guided us through all the steps. Not only was she fantastic in all aspects of our real estate transactions she easily won our trust and friendship as well as our loyalty. Heather easily proved to be someone we would highly recommend to friends, family or anyone looking to sell or purchase real estate!”

  • "From the start, Heather was a pleasure to work..."

“We were introduced to Heather through a mutual friend - and we are so glad that we were! From the start, Heather was a pleasure to work with and put us at ease on our house hunt. Being new to the area, Heather gave us great advice from a local perspective and helped us think about and understand all the variables that led to the successful purchase of our new home. Throughout the process it was clear that Heather had our best interests at heart. As we viewed different homes, Heather kept us aware of their potentials and pitfalls. She gave us great advice on how we might update a place and make it our own. This advice was often given after brainstorming with her partners and looking into building code ramifications. In the end, it was great juggling all the options with Heather and feeling confident that we made the best choice for us.”

Little-known fact

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. For years (like 1927-1986) my family had Schumacher’s Bakery aka, Tastie Home Bakery on 65th in the Ravenna neighborhood. My mom lived in some of the homes in that area and at one time an apartment above the bakery. The bakery no longer exists but the building my grandpa owned remains with my great-grandpa’s name still above the door, W.F. Schumacher. Now this building houses the familiar Zeeks Pizza and Bruggers Begals, and I have a whole lot of memories and a huge unfortunate sweet tooth!

From very young, I was given the gene of hard work. There aren’t many slackers in my family. We all know how to work! I was raised with a good work ethic. When I was a child and we visited Grandpa at the bakery, he didn’t stop to talk. He talked while he worked, always. All of my memories included my grandpa making strudel, kneading bread, pulling cake out of the oven, weighing sweet rolls. He was never NOT working.

While the bakery was the longest and most known around Seattle, there were many other businesses in my family. I myself owned a Pottery Painting Studio and a Coffee shop.
